Maebe + Prognosis

Bristol progressive post-rock collective Maebe play Manchester for the first time ever, ahead of their performance at ArcTanGent festival later this year. The band – which features three (yes, three) guitarists – play a fresh take on instrumental guitar music that touches on prog, post-rock, math-rock and even shred, all delivered with a ferocious post-hardcore energy. The band have played with the likes of Orchards, Hidden Mothers, Standards and Bicurious, while their second album Rebirth. Relive. Repeat. was released last year and ranked among Prog and Total Guitar‘s best albums of 2023 lists.

They are joined by Manchester-based quartet Prognosis, who blend the darkness of modern progressive metal with bright turns and sharp hooks – their live performances offer a potent combination of brutality, virtuosity and epic soundscapes.

The lineup is completed by fellow Mancunians, Civil Service, who take an experimental approach to instrumental post-rock that has seen them perform with the likes of And So I Watch You From Afar, Blackshape and Din of Celestial Birds
